Actor Jun Ji Hyun is the first Korean actress ever to become a global ambassador for British luxury brand Burberry.
Burberry released still images of Jun Ji Hyun wearing the 2022 autumn/winter collection on the 7th. This is the first time Burberry has selected a Korean actress as an Ambassador.
Jun Ji Hyun is one of the leading Korean Wave stars who have hit movies such as “My Sassy Girl,” “The Thieves,” “The Berlin File,” “Assassination,” and the SBS drama “My Love From the Star.” Beyond Korea, she has been receiving great attention and love from many people throughout Asia.
Burberry announced the background of Amber Suther’s selection, saying, “She is the best actor in the 160-year history of Burberry House, which represents classical and timeless elegance.“
Jun Ji Hyun said, “I’m very honored to be selected as Burberry’s Ambassador. Burberry is a brand that innovates with the changing times while maintaining traditions based on rich British history. This is also what I want to convey to the audience as an actor. Elegance beyond time inspires me a lot. I’m excited and looking forward to the activities I’ll do as an ambassador in the future.”
