Filming of “Taxi Driver 2” has been temporarily suspended.

On July 15, an official from SBS shared that they have decided to half filming for the upcoming sequel of “Taxi Driver” after some staff members tested positive for COVID-19.

The cast and crew have recently traveled to Vietnam to shoot scenes for the drama. As a result, some of the staff members have contracted COVID-19 and are now in self-quarantine. It is said that Lee Je Hoon and the other actors have not tested positive for the virus.

Based on a webtoon of the same name, “Taxi Driver” tells the story of a mysterious taxi service that takes revenge on behalf of victims who are unable to get justice from the law. The drama stars Lee Je Hoon, Kim Eui Sung, Pyo Ye Jin, Jang Hyuk Jin, and Bae Yoo Ram.

It was previously announced that Shin Jae Ha will also be joining the cast for the drama’s upcoming sequel.

“Taxi Driver 2” is set to air in the first half of 2023.
