Exciting news about the upcoming movie “K-Pop: Lost in America” have been revealed.

According to an exclusive report by Deadline, Rebel Wilson and Charles Melton are reportedly cast in the upcoming Hollywood film which is set to begin filming this fall.

The film was announced last year and is slated to be released in 2023. It will tell the story of a kpop boy group that finds themselves stranded in Texas days before their global debut tour kicks off at New York’s Madison Square Garden. With no phones, no money, and no transportation, the group must overcome a series of “crazy obstacles” in order to make it to New York City in time for their U.S. debut.

The movie will be directed by Yoon Je Kyun who previously worked on “Ode to My Father” and more. “K-Pop: Lost in America” wil be produced by the producers of “Interstellar” and “Parasite.”

Later, it was reported that ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo might be starring in the upcoming movie. In response to the report, a source from his agency confirmed he was ‘positively reviewing’ the offer to star in “K-Pop: Lost in America” but nothing has been confirmed yet. If Cha Eun Woo accepts the offer, this will mark his Hollywood movie debut.
