The 2022 MAMA is rumored to be held in Japan this year, and the event organizer CJ ENM has responded to the reports.

A new report alleged that the 2022 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) will be held on November 29-30 in Osaka, Japan. The award ceremony has been held in Korea for the past two years due to the pandemic.

In response to these reports, CJ ENM issued a brief statement. They declined to confirm or deny the news since nothing has been confirmed yet, and said they’re exploring various ways to hold this year’s event.

MAMA is considered the biggest music award ceremony in South Korea.

This year, the 2022 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to run from late November to Mid-December in Qatar. Thus, its rumored that this year’s award ceremony will be held a bit earlier than previous years.
