Yoo Jae Suk, one of the most charitable Korean celebrities, is again making headlines for his donations.
On June 6, one netizen took to an online community to write a post about Yoo Jae Suk’s donation. The netizen claimed they were a friend of the patient who received a heart transplant surgery. They explained that while the surgery cost around 88 million won (around $70,000), insurance covered about $58,000 and they were billed the remaining amount.
The hospital had a system where expenses for people who are unable to pay could be paid by a single donor, the only person who is informed of their identity is the receiver. And it turns out that it was Yoo Jae Suk. A nurse confirmed to the netizen that it was really the nation’s MC.
Yoo Jae Suk had previously made headlines after it was revealed he donates to subsidize surgery costs of patients who can’t afford hospital expenses.
