“The Outlaws 2” (“The Roundup”) enjoying its massive success!
According to the Korean Film Council, on June 13, “The Outlaws 2” remained on the number one spot for the fourth week in a row and now has garnered more than 10,503,886. Surpassing the number of moviegoers for the 2019 award-winning film “Parasite,” which recorded a total of 10,313,201, and also the 2014 animation movie “Frozen” and 2014 film “Interstellar.”
In addition, the Korean box office only has 28 films that surpassed 10 million moviegoers (including international films), and only 20 Korean films are among those. “The Outlaws 2” has now become the 20th Korean film to achieve this feat.
“The Outlaws 2” is also now the highest-grossing film released in May in the Korean box office history.
“The Outlaws 2” is a movie that depicts the thrilling crime-fighting operation of the legendary detective Ma Seok Do (Ma Dong Seok) and his squad to catch the strongest villain Kang Hae Sang (Son Suk Ku). It is the highly-awaited sequel of the hit 2017 movie “The Outlaws.”
