Actress Lee El has shared her thoughts on the famous Water Bomb festival.
On June 12, she took to Twitter to write, “Hope the Water bomb concert’s 300 t of water can spread sprayed over the Soyang River.”
The Water Bomb festival is a famous summer festival that is known for including ridiculous amounts of water. It features water gun fights and water sprays performance including various musical guests. It will be held in 4 cities this year.
But why is Lee El speaking up about this?
According to reports, the drought is a serious concern to South Korea. The past month’s cumulative precipitation was 5.8mm which is a mere 5.6% of the average cumulative precipitation of 104.2mm. As a result, the Soyang River dried up.
Many netizens have been criticizing the festival for pushing ahead despite the drought warning.
PSY was also under fire recently for his plans to carry out concerts with tons of drinking water amid the drought.
