Brave Girls Minyoung is making headlines for her recent comments.

After revitalizing their career in 2021 with their sleeper hit “Rollin,” Brave Girls saw a massive rise in popularity and became one of the hottest kpop groups. They gained many new fans since then as well.

The group is currently taking part in Mnet’s “Queendom 2,” and fans have recently revisited what Minyoung said about their fanclub membership fees.

In November of 2021, Minyoung was seen talking to her fans on Bubble and expressed her dissatisfaction to hear fans had to pay to be part of the group’s fandom. According to the agency, the price for the admission is 35,000 won [around 27$]. Minyoung was quoted saying, ‘is it normal to pay that? Why do you need to pay money to be a fan?’

Minyoung also told fans she’d ask the agency to lower the membership fees and added, ‘I really don’t like this. Making fans keep paying money. Its annoying…. We came all this way thanks to fans.’

Minyoung ended it with, ‘am I the weird one? Either way, I am always thankful and sorry to our fans.’

Many fans praised Minyoung for being so kind and loving towards fans.

Do you think fans should pay membership fees?
