tvN has unveiled a new teaser for their upcoming drama “Alchemy of Souls”!
“Alchemy of Souls” is a fantasy romance drama taking place in the fictional nation named Daeho, a country that doesn’t exist in history or maps. The story will follow a set of main characters whose fates get twisted due to magic that switches people’s souls. The drama’s title itself refers to the soul switch.
Lee Jae Wook is taking on the role of the sophisticated yet troublesome young master Jang Wook of the Jang family within Daeho nation. He’s a character that has a tragic background, the entire nation gossips about his shocking birth secret. He’s angry with the world but returns to the proper path after meeting assassin Mu Deok Yi.
Jung So Min will take on the role of Mu Deok Yi, a great assassin stuck in the world’s weakest body. She becomes Jang Wook’s attendant and secret mentor, she teaches him in a brutal manner.
the newly released teaser starts with Nak Soo, the best assassin in the world who shows great charisma and strength. However, All of that changes when she gets trapped in the world’s weakest body which belongs to Mu Deok Ki, the girl also happens to be the servant to the troublemaker and young master Jang Wook.
The next scene displays the playful chemistry between the two characters which grabs the attention. Although Deok Ki tries to be a good servant to the young master, Jang Wook keeps testing her patience. He slams his spoon on the table and orders her to take away the food because he doesn’t want to eat it anymore, he then orders her to prepare his bath again because the water is too hot, making her more infuriated with him.
As Jang Wook takes his bath, we see Deok Mi glaring at him intensely as she promises, “When I regain my strength, I will kill this guy first.”
The video ends with Jang Wook talking to Deok Mi who is seething with anger, he commands her to stop staring angrily at him and to lower her gaze, making viewers look forward to these characters’ story and how it will unfold.

“Alchemy of Souls” is written by the Hong sister who famously worked on many hit dramas such as “My Girlfriend is a Gumiho,” “The Greatest Love,” “Master’s Sun,” “Hotel Del Luna,” and more. It will be directed by Park Joon Hwa of “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim.”
“Alchemy of Souls” is set to premiere on June 18.
