“Squid Game” director has confirmed that Lee Jung Jae and Lee Byung Hun’s characters will return in season 2!
On April 9, “Squid Game” director Hwang Dong Hyuk appeared on Deadline’s Contenders Television in Los Angeles alongside Park Hae Soo, in the interview he confirmed the return of Lee Jung Jae and Lee Byung Hun’s characters in the season 2 of “Squid Game,” he said, “Seong Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae) will definitely come back. I believe he will return. I also believe the Front Man (Lee Byung Hun) will also come back.”
It was previously hinted that Lee Jung Jae will return in season 2 of “Squid Game,” it was also expected that Lee Byung Hun’s character will return too but this is the first time it was mentioned publicly.
Director Hwang Dong Hyuk has joked before when asked about “Squid Game” characters who may also return to the second season, he said, “The twin brother of Cho Sang Woo (Park Hae Soo) or the twin sister of Kang Sae Byeok (Jung Ho Yeon) may make an appearance.”
Earlier this year, it was confirmed by Netflix that “Squid Game” will return with a second season.
