Jessica To Compete In Chinese Girl Group Survival Program

The rumors have been confirmed, Jessica is indeed joining “Sisters Who Make Waves” Season 3, an upcoming Chinese girl group survival program.

On April 3, an unofficial list was revealed on Chinese online communities and Jessica’s name was on it. The program is a competition show between female celebrities who are at least 30 years old, they compete to re-debut in a five-member girl group. Previously, Jia and Fei competed on the show.

Later, a source from her agency confirmed the news. In the leaked list, it describes Jessica as Joseonjok (referring to Chinese people of Korean descent) and writes her Korean name Jung Soo Yeon, she’s described as an American singer and actor born in 1989 who was a member of Girls’ Generation.

In response to the leaked list, Jessica’s agency says she does not promote with the name of Girls’ Generation anymore and called the list fake.

Jessica made her debut in 2007 as a member of Girls’ Generation, but she parted ways with the group in September 2014. She’s been working as a soloist since then, she’s also published a book and launched a fashion brand.
