Famous American Director Steven Spielberg’s recent remarks have raised some eyebrows.

Recently, Famous American Director Steven Spielberg spoke at the PGA Awards panel. During the event, he spoke about the massive success of “Squid Game” and how Netflix has been able to give more opportunities to lesser-known actors thus allowing them to lead different productions. He said,

A long time ago, it was domestic stars that brought the audience into movies. Today, it’s interesting, unknown people can star entire miniseries, can be in movies.”

His statement has received mixed responses from fans of the hit series as some criticized him for his comments for implying that the stars of “Squid Game” were ‘unknown.’ Lee Jung Jae and Park Hae Soo are both well-known actors for their talent in South Korea and Asia. They led many hit dramas.

However, others defended what he said because they believe he meant locally, in America.

Do you think what Steven Spielberg said was problematic?
