JTBC’s Hit Drama “Itaewon Class” Will Be Getting A Japanese Remake

Itaewon Class” will be remade into a Japanese TV series!

JTBC and Kakao Entertainment have recently confirmed that the hit drama “Itaewon Class” will be getting a Japanese remake.

“Itaewon Class” tells the story of young people who fight back against unreasonable society as they chase after their dreams. It aired on JTBC back in 2020 and recorded a viewership rating of 18.3%, the drama then became the second highest-rated JTBC drama of all time only behind the immensely successful “SKY Castle.”

“Itaewon Class” starred Park Seo Joon and Kim Da Mi, the two actors received a lot of love and attention for their roles in the drama, the drama also received attention for its famous lines, OST, and hairstyle.

The Japanese remake titled “Roppongi Class” (Working title) will have a total of 13 episodes and top Japanese actors have already been confirmed to star in the upcoming drama. The drama, which received a lot of love in Japan and was immensely popular, is now scheduled to air in Japan this summer.

It has also been confirmed recently that the JTBC drama “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food” is going to have an Indian remake.
