BIGBANG’s T.O.P has recently opened up about his suicide attempt for the first time ever in an interview with Prestige Hong Kong.

On March 9, T.O.P sat down with Prestige Hong Kong for an interview, in the interview he talked about many topics including his suicide attempt from five years ago, he said,

“This is the first time I have spoken this publicly, but I did try to commit suicide about five years ago,” he then looked away as his voice lowered, “I realized later how much hurt and painful memories I gave to the people around me, my family and fans out there.”

T.O.P even contemplated quitting music, but during his rough times, it was music that was helping him fight through it all, he revealed that he has written more than 100 songs over the past five years.

  1. Anyone going through depression needs understanding, don’t ask “how are you today” because maybe that day they don’t feel good, just be there
