The upcoming MBC drama “Golden Spoon” has confirmed its main cast lineup.
Recently, MBC revealed that Yook Sungjae, DIA’s Jung Chae Yeon, Lee Jong Won, And Yeonwoo will be leading the upcoming drama “Golden Spoon.”
“Golden Spoon” is based on a popular webtoon of the same title and tells the story of a kid born into a poor family, he uses a golden spoon to switch fates with a friend who was born into a wealthy family.
This will mark Yook Sungjae’s first drama comeback following his military discharge, he’s taking on the role of Lee Seung Chun, who dreams of turning his life around with the titular golden spoon.
Lee Jong Won is taking on the role of Hwang Tae-Yong, the rich friend of Lee Seung Chun, his father runs a large company, he switches lives with Lee Seung Chun. DIA’s Jung Chae Yeon and Yeonwoo round up the cast.
“Golden Spoon” is said to premiere in the second half of 2022 following the conclusion of “Dr. Lawyer,” So Ji Sub’s upcoming drama.

That’s an interesting premise. I get the feeling that Sungjae really likes fantasy dramas, he’s always picking them. He’s such a bright actor and so talented, its been a while, I am glad he’s coming back.
Lee Jong Won is one of my favorite rising actors, I expect him to gain more fans in 2022. Besides his acting chops, the dude is so handsome. He needs the right project and he’ll definitely go viral. I was thinking a Netflix series perhaps.
I’ve seen Yeonwoo’s acting, she’s good, I’d say better than the average idol actress. I haven’t personally paid much attention to Chaeyeon but I am hoping I’ll be wowed with her acting. This cast includes mostly idol-actors which is interesting, but luckily for me, they’re good actors.
I am excited about this one. I think MBC will have a better year this time, let us just hope the scripts turn out to be good.
