Today, we’re taking a look at upcoming kdramas airing in February 2022 that you need to put on your watch list.

Twenty-Five Twenty-One

Cast: Kim Tae Ri, Nam Joo Hyuk, WJSN’s Bona, Choi Hyun Wook , Lee Joo Myung

Plot: “Twenty-Five Twenty-One” is set in the year 1998 and tells the story of two people who meet when they are 22 and 18 and begin their love story four years later when they are 25 and 21. It will focus on the romance between the youth, growth, and friendship. Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk star as Na Hee Do and Baek Yi Jin, who meet when they are 22 and 18 and again when they are 25 and 21.

Kim Tae Ri will play Na Hee Do, a fencing athlete whose high school team was disbanded due to the IMF crisis, but that didn’t affect her dreams, she still has passion and is the type of person who never gives up. While Nam Joo Hyuk plays Baek Yi Jin, he is the oldest son of the family, his family was torn apart due to the IMF crisis. Despite his circumstances, he works hard to become a reporter.

Forecasting Love and Weather

Plot: “Forecasting Love and Weather” tells the story of work and romance of people who work at the weather forecast service. Park Min Young is taking on the role of Jin Ha Kyung, an intelligent character with a cold and sensitive personality. Song Kang is taking on the role of Lee Si Woo, a guy who appears clumsy but has an IQ of 150 and is serious about his job.

“Cruel Story of Office Romance” is directed by Cha Young Hoon, who previously worked on “When the Camellia Blooms,” and written by Sun Young from the creators of “The World Of The Married.”

Thirty Nine

Plot: “Thirty-Nine” is a romance drama that tells the story of three friends, who met in their second year of high school, and how they are going to turn 40. The drama deals with the stories of these three soon-to-be 40 women and their friendship and love.

Son Ye Jin plays Cha Mi Jo, a girl who was born and raised by wealthy parents and is now the head dermatologist of a clinic in Gangnam. Jeon Mi Do plays Jung Chan Young, a girl who formerly dreamed of becoming an actress and now is an acting coach. Kim Ji Hyun plays Jang Joo Hee, who is a department store cosmetics manager.

Plot: “Grid” is a mystery thriller drama that talks about the story of three people who chase after a mysterious ghost for different reasons, this unknown ghost saved humanity back in 1997 from solar winds by creating a shield named “The Grid” then disappeared, but comes back after 24 years to help a serial killer escape.

Lee Si Young is taking on the role of the mysterious ghost that saved humankind and then disappeared, she returns 24 years later to helps the serial killer Kim Ma-Nok (Kim Sung-Kyun) escape.

He becomes aware of a man in his neighborhood who appears unemployed but makes a killing as a webcomic writer, he decides to become a webcomic writer.

Ahn Hyo Seop will star as chaebol heir Kang Tae Mu, who has everything from looks and brains to wealth. He is also business savvy. Meanwhile, Kim Sejeong will star as ordinary food researcher Shin Ha Ri, who stands in for her best friend and chaebol heiress Jin Young Seo (Seol In Ah) at a blind date with Kang Tae Mu. She’s shocked to find out he’s the CEO of her company, the next day, he asks her to marry him.

The drama was originally set to air in November of 2021. However, on November 26, IHQ officially announced the news, they stated that after recognizing the drama’s competitiveness and ability to generate buzz, they’ve decided to reschedule the airing date. There has also been a huge controversy involving its lead actor Lee Ji Hoon which has been resolved among the parties involved.

Kim Moo Yeol is taking on the role of judge Cha Tae Joo, who has a soft heart and embraces juvenile delinquents. Lee Sung Min is taking on the role of Head Judge Kang Won Joong.

Plot: “Love (Ft. Marriage And Divorce)” is a drama about three women in their 30s, 40s, and 50s who experience shakeups in their marriages and discover their husbands are having affairs. Its a famous Makjang drama by writer Im Sung Han and has become one of the most successful TV Chosun dramas ever.

Originally, the prior two seasons were led by Sung Hoon, Lee Tae Gon, Lee Ga Ryung, Lee Min Young, Jeon No Min, Jun Soo Kyung, and more. However, both actors have departed the cast. Kang Shin Hyo and Ji Young San will take on their roles instead.

Kang Shin Hyo will take over Sung Hoon’s role as Pan Sa Hyun, and Ji Young San will be replacing Lee Tae Gon’s role as Shin Yoo Shin.
