My personal thoughts- written by Jass K.

Last time I heard about Park Sung Hoon was back in 2021 when Joseon Exorcist was canceled. I think he’s a super talented actor who often steals the spotlight. I really think he’s underrated.

In regards to the plot… its a… mixed bag, I’d say. Of course, I am only talking about the outline, but a teacher using a child to ‘get’ revenge isn’t exactly the type of character I’d be rooting for. I am wondering whether Kim Eun Sook is planning on making her unlikeable, because if thats true, this makes it so much more interesting, especially since Hye Kyo doesn’t play villain roles. I don’t have the highest expectations from this drama but let us see how it goes.

I have mixed thoughts on Kim Eun Sook’s writings, on one hand, I can’t deny the effect she’s had on the kdrama scene, but on the other hand, it feels like the majority of her projects were able to fly so high in large part due to the casting. If you examine the plots excluding who acted in it, I’d say the plots were average and at times, a bit cringy.

Her last project “The King: Eternal Monarch” was a huge mess in my opinion. Luckily, this time, its only 8 episodes and on Netflix, I expect to see a better-written script from her.
