Lee Do Hyun Opens Up About Proudly Talking About His Disabled Younger Brother

Lee Do Hyun is melting fans’ hearts with his comments about his younger brother.

On January 14, KBS “Year-round Live” interviewed rising actors to look forward to in 2022, Lee Do Hyun was interviewed.

Lee Do Hyun has given a stunning performance in the KBS drama “Youth of May,” and was awarded an excellence award and best couple award. During the acceptance speech, he choked when talking about his younger brother. The interviewer asked him about how he felt to win two awards, he said,

“Honestly, I was so unbelievable and something I have never expected to happen.”

During his acceptance speech for the awards, Lee Do Hyun mentioned his younger disabled brother, when the interviewer asked him about almost crying talking about him, he said,

“When I thought of my brother, I always cried. When I was young, I was still immature, but there were times I was so immature that I couldn’t proudly say he was my little brother. On the contrary, now, I always say, ‘you’re my little brother.’”

Lee Do Hyun has proudly spoken about his younger disabled brother in past interviews too. Many netizens are applauding the actor for his kind heart.

  1. Lee Do Hyun, you spoke for many of us out there. Thank you for your kind sincerity. Our family has a Downs Syndrome/Autistic brother who is 60 years old and is the joy of our family. It is my personal belief that special needs children/adults are a blessing that make us better people.
    Congratulations on a well deserved award and again, thank you on behalf of so many with special needs family members.
