KEP1ER Sells 150,000 Albums On The First Day of Their Debut, First K-pop Girl Group To Do So

Kep1er Has Made an impressive debut and their album sales has broken a record!

On January 3, “Girls Planet 999” group Kep1er debuted with their long-awaited first album “First Impact” along with the title track “WA DA DA.”

According to Hanteo charts, 150,153 copies of their album were sold on the first day of their debut alone, making them the only k-pop girl group to have this much sales on their debut album.   

“FIRST IMPACT” has also been performing well internationally topping iTunes charts in many countries around the world after its release. As of 10 p.m. KST on January 4, their debut album hit No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in at least 11 different regions, including Japan, India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Mexico, Singapore, Brazil, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

Kep1er was formed on the Mnet survival show “Girls Planet 999” last year, it is a nine-member group consisting of Kim Chae Hyun, Huening Bahiyyih, Choi Yu Jin, Kim Da Yeon, Seo Yeong Eun, Kang Ye Seo, Ezaki Hikaru, Sakamoto Mashiro, and Shen Xiao Ting.
