Big 4 Agencies Plans For 2022 Revealed: BLACKPINK’s Full Album, BTS’s Comeback & Tour + More

The plans for the big 4 agencies of Kpop for the year 2022 have been revealed!

The big 4 agencies [HYBE, SM, YG and JYP] are the leading agencies for the Kpop industry. A recent article by Joy News 24 highlights some of the agencies plans for 2022. Lets go over them.

HYBE

Starting with HYBE, the agency has a major lineup of activities for the year 2022. Beginning with ENHYPEN releasing a new album on January 10, they will kick off 2022 with their comeback.

As previously reported, BTS is also planning to release an album this year and planning an offline concert in March in Seoul.

HYBE is also preparing for its first girl group by their sub-label ADOR led by Min Hee Jin. In addition to that, they are working with UMG, as previously reported, to launch a global female pop group this year. HYBE Japanese label is also working on an audition program to debut a new boy group.

Weverse is expected to be integrated with V Live in the first half this year, and the agency is planning to release NFTs this year in collaboration with Dunamu, the operator of Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Upbit in the first half of 2022.

SM Entertainment

This year, SM rang 2022 with ‘SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU Express @ Wilderness’ to expand on the worldview of the artists’ ‘Metaversal Origin Story.’ This year, it is also expected that NCT and aespa will be actively promoting even more and NCT is expected to see massive growth in terms of album sales continuing their trend from 2021.

Additionally, a second SMTOWN world tour is planned in major cities around the world.

SM is also planning to launch new NFTs related products this year.

DearU, which was listed last year, is expected to see bigger growth this year with the launch of the NFT business.

JYP Entertainment

JYP Entertainment groups are expected to join the 4th Generation’s battle with its newly launched group and upcoming groups. Xdinary Heros, who debuted last year, is expected to see even more growth with their unique concept. The boy group LOUD, which was created through an audition show last year, is expected to debut this year.

JYP is also venturing into NFTs, it entered the business in July of 2021 joining hands with Dunamu, a blockchain specialist.

TWICE and NiziU will also be touring this year, with TWICE already selling out tickets for their planned North American tour in a couple of months.

Their upcoming girl group [tentatively titled JYPn] will debut in February of 2022, with their unique approach to their debut, they’re expected to take the world by storm with their talent.

ITZY and Stray Kids are also expected to hold tours in Japan and America.

YG Entertainment

While last year, BLACKPINK focused on their solo activities, in 2022, they’re expected to return as a group. They’re reportedly working hard to prepare for a world tour and a new full-length album in 2022.

TREASURE is the first group of YG this year to come back, they recently released a teaser poster announcing their pending comeback.
YG is also launching a new girl group, reportedly in the second half of 2022, this will be their first girl group in nearly 6 years since BLACKPINK’s debut.

With YG expanding its global fandom last year, BLACKPINK joined Weverse, the agency is expected to create a more synergistic effect with the platform in 2022.

In the report, there are no news about a potential comeback from BIGBANG or iKON.
