ATEEZ’s Wooyoung has joined the ever-growing list of Kpop idols publicly calling out sasaengs [obsessive-so-called-fans].

ATEEZ has recently traveled to the U.S for their tour. Despite their busy schedules, the members still made time to interact with their fans. Wooyoung and Jongho held a Live broadcast together to interact with fans.

During the broadcasts, Wooyoung kept looking at Jongho’s phone and his facial expressions changed. After putting the phone down, Wooyoung said, ‘we’re in the middle of a live, you shouldn’t call, you keep calling Jongho, but its not a good thing to do.’

Jongho said he noticed but wanted to act as if he didn’t know. Wooyoung then added, ‘don’t do it. We’re grateful that you like us, but don’t do that during a live broadcast.’

The clip where Wooyoung publicly called out the sasaeng became a trending topic among fans. These sasaengs use illegal methods to obtain idols’ phone numbers, and at times, call during live broadcasts to make sure they’d gotten the right number.

Wooyoung is not the first idol to publicly call out sasaengs for their rude intrusive behavior, many other idols have done it as well.

  1. Fans should respect their personal space and boundaries always. I mean, yes they’re idols and it’s bound to happen, but would anyone like their number to be leaked ?. You can’t forget that they’re are crazy obsessed people. As well as mean and hateful people too.

  2. I think it’s ridiculous to be honest they need to leave the members alone I get they like them but to find out the phone numbers and to constantly ring them is bang out of order let them have a life and stop pestering them in their personal time… It’s getting stupid now! It gets out of control that the members speak up.
