JTBC’s newest drama “The One And Only” is already struggling to retain viewers!
“The One And Only” initially made a promising start despite its late 11 p.m. time slot. According to Nielsen Korea, “The One And Only” episode 1 started with an average nationwide rating of 2.442%. The premiere ratings were considered very promising at first, but the drama has seen a sharp dip ever since.
According to Nielsen Korea, “The One And Only” 4th episode rated an average nationwide rating of 0.58%, a sharp dip from its 3rd episode and its lowest rating to date. Not only that, but the drama has also sunk to the 0% range for the first time with its 4th episode. With 12 more episodes to go, it is unknown how the drama plans on dealing with the massive drop in viewership ratings.
“The One And Only” is led by Ahn Eun Jin, Red Velvet’s Joy, Kim Kyung Nam and Kang Ye Won. It tells the story of three terminally ill women who meet at a hospice and decide that before they die, they want to take down one bad guy, as they attempt to do this, they end up meeting the most valuable person of their lives.
But why has “The One And Only” already seen a considerable drop?
One possible reason could be the late time slot, another one is the fact that this specific time slot has been previously occupied by “Idol: the Coup” which struggled with ratings in the 0% range as well.
