JTBC’s newest drama “Snowdrop” premiered over this weekend and the ratings numbers are out!

Due to technical issues with Nielsen Korea’s rating system, the ratings for both December 18 and December 19 were revealed on December 20, much later than they usually come out.

According to Nielsen Korea, JTBC’s “Snowdrop” premiered with an average nationwide rating of 2.985%, while its second episode scored 3.898%, a slight rise from its premiere episodes.

“Snowdrop” is led by BLACKPINK Jisoo and Jung Hae In, it tells the love story between a student at a prestigious university who rushes into a women’s university one day covered in blood [played by Jung Hae In], and Young Ro (BLACKPINK’s Jisoo), a student at the women’s university who hides and takes care of him despite facing danger under close surveillance.

“Snowdrop” has been under massive controversy for alleged historical distortion, so far, many advertisers have pulled their ads from the drama including one of the three biggest sponsors of the drama. A netizen has also launched a petition demanding the drama to be canceled, it has surpassed 290K signatures as of this writing.
