Last night, 2PM’s Chansung personally revealed he’s getting married and expecting a baby on the way. Added to that, he said he’d be leaving JYP after 15 years.
Following his statement, fans began to wonder about the contracts of the remaining members of the group. JYP has since released a statement to address fans’ questions.
JYP Entertainment clarified that the other 2PM members Jun.K, Nichkhun, Wooyoung, and Lee Junho still have time left on their contracts, and will not be departing the agency. Taecyeon was previously the only 2PM member who didn’t renew with JYP.
The representative by JYP told news outlets that every 2PM member ended up with a different contract period when they renewed their contracts, and in Chansung’s case, his contract was the first to expire.
