Wanna One might be reuniting soon!
On November 3, JTBC News reported that Wanna One was in talks to plan a reunion ahead of the 2021 MAMA. They quoted one source who stated that they’re discussing the reunion ahead of the award ceremony, another source says this year the ‘discussions are more positive.’
CJ ENM has responded to the report by stating that they’re indeed positively discussing Wanna One’s reunion including plans for the 2021 MAMA, a concert and an album involving all of the members.
Wanna One consists of 11 members who won the second season of Produce 101. The group disbanded in December of 2018 and since then, each member has either gone back to their group, debuted in a new group or embarked on a solo career as a singer or an actor.
Minhyun went back to NU’EST, Lee Dae Hwi and Park Woo Jin debuted in AB6IX, Bae Jin Young debuted CIX, Ha Sung Woon, Yoon Ji Sung, Ong Seong Wu, Kim Jae Hwan, Kang Daniel, Park Ji Hoon, Lai Kuanlin went solo.
If this is confirmed, it will be the group’s first time coming together in nearly three years.
