BTS has taken home multiple awards at The 2021 American Music Awards [AMAs].
On November 21 local time, BTS attended and performed at The 2021 American Music Awards. They were also nominated for three awards including Artist of the Year, alongside Ariana Grande, Drake, Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd. A first for an Asian artist in this category.
BTS was also nominated for Favorite Pop Duo or Group for the third year in a row and “Butter” was nominated for Favorite Pop Song.
BTS took home favorite pop duo or group award for the third time in a row. “Butter” also took home Favorite Pop Song, which marks their first time ever winning an award in this category. BTS also won Artist of the Year award becoming the first ever Korean act to win this award, a major feat for the group.
