tvN has published photos of its highly anticipated historical drama “Royal Secret Inspector Joy”!
“The Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi” is a historical comedy investigation drama about a young gourmet who ends up becoming a secret royal inspector [an undercover inspector who investigates corruption as a government official]. He teams up with a divorced woman who is searching for happiness.
The first script reading session was attended by director Yoo Jong Sun, writer Lee Jae Yoon, and cast members 2PM’s Taecyeon, Kim Hye Yoon, Lee Jae Kyoon, Jung Bo Suk, Bae Jong Ok, Min Jin Woong, Park Gang Sub, Chae Won Bin, and Lee Sang Hee.
2PM’s Taecyeon will play the role of Ra Yi Eon, a man who wants nothing more than to open a small dumpling store outside the capital, where the land is cheap. However, because he’s smart, he is able to pass the state examination and become a part of the Office of Special Advisors. He’s appointed as a secret royal inspector against his will, despite the title being something people would kill for, he’s mostly concerned with getting off work as fast as possible.
Kim Hye Yoon stars as Kim Jo Yi, a woman who thinks getting a divorce isn’t a big deal. Three years ago, she married a gambling addict and mama’s boy, their rocky marriages ends in divorce. As she’s about to start her new life, she runs into a secret royal inspector.
