HYBE has released a statement to deny that the agency or the group’s affiliation with the new cryptocurrency ARMY COIN. This happened after the cryptocurrency used the group’s image for its promotions.

The agency released a statement to the press to announce their plans to take legal action for violation of portrait rights.

ARMY COIN was listed on the Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange Bitget and had originally received much interest from many including BTS fans. HYBE says this was done without their discussion and photos were used without their permission. The coin has been sharing false information that claims it was made for BTS and will help with BTS’s profits to attract unsuspecting fans. HYBE said,

“We will take legal action against all infringements and violations.”
