Actress Choi Jung Yoon has confirmed she’s in the process of filing for a divorce from her husband.

On October 6, a source from her agency stated,

“[Choi Jung Yoon] is currently in the midst of divorce proceedings.”

Regarding the reason behind the sudden divorce news, Choi Jung Yoon’s agency refused to give a response. The agency stated that the details behind her divorce are about her personal life, thus, they cannot disclose such information.

Choi Jung Yoon married Eagle Five’s Yoon Tae Joon, the eldest son of retail conglomerate E-Land Group’s former vice-chair, in 2011. The couple had their first child in 2016.

Choi Jung Yoon’s husband Yoon Tae Joon is known to have originally debuted with the OG idol kpop group Eagle Five. He quit the entertainment industry a long time ago and focused on business.

In 2017, after taking office as president of a textile and clothing company, he was arrested and indicted on charges of earning unfair profits of 2 billion won by intentionally purchasing stocks, intentionally raising the stock price, and selling it. He was sentenced to 1 year and a half in prison suspended to three years of probation and a fine of 500 million won.

The actress has revealed she’s raising her daughter alone on a recent TV appearance.

Choi Jung Yoon has returned to activities with a role in SBS’s “Amor Fati,” which was her first in six years.
