Time has unveiled its annual list of the most influential people in the world, a group that Editor in Chief Edward Felsenthal wrote consists of ‘’extraordinary leaders’’ who are ‘’working to build a better future’’.
Youn Yuh Jung, who made history by sweeping the international awards circuit with her dazzling performance in the movie ‘Minari’, was included in this year’s list.
Youn said her inclusion was an honor and humbly remarked,
‘I was doing what I always did, but I received far more praise than I deserved, I myself am still surprised by the news that I was chosen for TIME’s list of this year’s most influential people. I hope I was a person who made a positive impact, and I am honored to have my name alongside people who are far greater than I am’.
She won Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars, the Screen Actors Guild Award, and a BAFTA, making her the first Korean actor to ever win an acting award at any of the three events.
