Seo Ye Ji is in talks for an upcoming drama, her first since her controversy earlier this year.
On September 7, news outlets reported that Seo Ye Ji was offered the leading role in tvN’s “Eve’s Scandal” (literal title), a drama set to air in the first half of 2022.
Later, a source from her agency GOLDMEDALIST confirmed she’s been offered the leading role and stated she was reviewing it.
“Eve’s Scandal” is a melodrama that centers around the story of a chaebol’s 2-trillion-won (approximately $1.7 billion) divorce lawsuit that shocks the entire nation. The drama is said to be a hot topic among industry insiders for its solid script.
Seo Ye Ji was offered the role of Lee Ra El, who was born between a genius father and a beautiful mother. After going through an unfortunate family affair, she becomes a woman with a fatal charm. She is the woman at the center of the divorce lawsuit.
If Seo Ye Ji accepts the role, it will mark her first since the hit drama “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.” Earlier this year, the actress was involved in controversy over allegedly manipulating Kim Jung Hyun‘s problematic behavior in 2018, due to the severe backlash against her, she withdrew from the drama “Island.”
