CBS’s program “The late lat show with James Corden” and its host James Corden are under fire by ARMY for the host’s recent remarks.

On September 20, James Corden opened his show talking about BTS’s appearance at the UN General Assembly, he said,

“The United Nations General Assembly kicked off this morning in New York City, and it started with some pretty unusual visitors… BTS were there. BTS visited the UN… Although lots of people are saying why are BTS there, the world leaders have no choice but to take BTS seriously. BTS has one of the largest ARMY on the planet earth. Historic moment. It actually marks the first time that 15 year old girls everywhere found themselves wishing that they were Secretary General António Guterres.”

This triggered heated responses from fans who called out James Corden and his show for labeling BTS’s appearance ‘unusual’ and for generalizing the fanbase to that of 15-year-olds. This isn’t the group’s first appearance at the UN general assembly either.

As a result of the severe backlash, the show’s social media moderators ended up deleting the clip in question from the show’s social media accounts such as Twitter. Despite that, fans are still angry and are still demanding an apology from the show and its host. They also ‘revoked’ James Corden’s title as ‘papa Mochi.’
