Former BTOB Member Jung Ilhoon Submits 27 Apology Letters Ahead Of His Appeal Trial

The recent news coming out about Jung Ilhoon’s actions ahead of his appeal trial is breaking fans’ hearts.

Jung Ilhoon’s appeal trial for his sentencing will be held on September 2, he was arrested on charges of habitual smoking of marijuana.

The Seoul High Court’s Criminal Division 13 will hold an appeal trial on September 2. Various media outlets have reported that Jung Ilhoon submitted 27 apology letters starting from July 9 to August 18. The apology letters are to express his remorse before the court judges in hopes of reducing his sentencing.

On June 10, Jung Ilhoon was sentenced to two years in prison and fined 133 million won (approximately $119,200) for violating the Act on the Control of Narcotics, Etc. Causing a huge shock to fans all around the world.

He had been suspected of smoking marijuana 161 times with his acquaintances from July 5, 2016, to January 9, 2019. He used bitcoin to purchase it and spent around 90,000$.

His sentencing sent shock waves among the kpop community, as many believed the sentencing was too harsh considering he’s a first-time offender.
