A shocking fact about Former Black Swan Member Hyeme has been revealed.
On August 17, SBS reported that a man in his thirties had filed for divorce from Hyeme [26 years old] in the city of Uijeongbu earlier this month.
According to SBS, Hyeme legally registered her marriage to the man in June 2020, before Black Swan’s official debut in October of that year.
In response to the report, Yoon Deung Ryong, the founder and CEO of Hyeme’s former agency DR Music said their contract with the idol has expired and they’re unable to get in contact with her. The CEO also says this is the first time they’ve ever heard of this and added that had they been aware of this, they wouldn’t have allowed her to debut in Black Swan, from their standpoint, the agency could even claim damages from her as a result of this revelation.
Hyeme’s former husband’s lawyer confirmed he’s in the middle of a divorce lawsuit with her, however, it is difficult for us to reveal concrete details at this time.
Hyeme debuted as a member of Rania in 2015 and re-debuted as a member of Black Swan in October 2020.
Hyeme had also been involved in another controversy with a man (referred to as “A”) who filed a criminal complaint against Hyeme accusing her of defrauding him out of about 50 million won (approximately $44,800 at the time).
At the time this issue was publicized. DR Music affirmed that aside from Hyeme asking to borrow 5 million won (approximately $4,500), the financial support she received from A had been voluntarily given.
However, Hyeme ended up leaving the agency as they announced her contract had expired. She later revealed she’s retiring from the entertainment industry.
While its quite common for kpop idols to secretly date, it is almost unheard of that a kpop idol was married during their promotions with a group without fans already being made aware of this.
