Song Joong Ki and Lee Sung Min will lead the upcoming drama “Chaebol Family’s Youngest Son”!
Previously, it was reported that Song Joong Ki was in talks to lead the upcoming drama “Chaebol Family’s Youngest Son”, a drama about revenge.
On July 20, JTBC confirmed that Song Joong Ki and Lee Sung Min have been cast in the upcoming drama.
“Chaebol Family’s Youngest Son” is based on the hit web novel of the same name and tells the story of a man [Song Joong Ki] who was killed after being framed for embezzlement by a chaebol family, a family he’s served for over 10 years. He gets reborn as the youngest son of the chaebol family [Sunyang Group] and plans revenge by gradually taking over their empire.
Lee Sung Min is taking on the role of Jin Yang Chul, the head of Sunyang Group. He is a relentlessly competitive and harsh character with endless greed for money.
“Chaebol Family’s Youngest Son” will be written by Kim Tae Hee of “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” and “A Beautiful Mind,” and it will be directed by Jung Dae Yoon of “She Was Pretty” and “W.”
The drama will begin filming in the second half of 2021 and air in the first half of 2022 on JTBC.

wow this is such an interesting idea, rebirth is something we often see in kdramas but I’ve never seen it tackled that way specifically.
Song Joong Ki seems to be drawn to revenge dramas recently and I am loving, Lee Sung Min is a very good addition to the drama and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the cast will shape out to be.
The screenwriter behind this drama has written some of my favorite dramas and some dramas that were a bit lackluster so it will be interesting to see if she can pull it off. the director behind the storm is also someone who is known for his previous works. 2022 is already looking good.
