JTBC’s upcoming drama “Will This Be My Liberation” has confirmed the main cast members!
“Will This Be My Liberation” focuses on the story of three siblings who want to escape from their stifling lives and the Mysterious Outsider who comes to their town.
JTBC has officially announced the news recently, Kim Ji Won, Lee Min Ki, Son Seok Gu, and Lee El are set to lead the upcoming drama.
Kim Ji Won will be playing the role of Yum Min Jung, who is the youngest child in her family. She’s an introvert and timid. Due to her personality, she has gone through her life feeling completely alone, she’s unable to take it anymore and eventually attempts to make a change in order to liberate herself from her mundane life.
Lee Min Ki will be starring as Yum Chang Hee, Yum Min Jung’s older brother and the middle child of their family. Although, the character hoped to move to the city and get a taste of an exciting world. Life didn’t go according to his plan, he feels aimless, dreamless and he lacks any particular ambition to achieve anything. Despite his immature Behavior, everything he says has a surprising logical tone to it.
Lee El will play Yum Ki Jung, the eldest child of the family. She is fierce and only behaves well on the day she receives her paycheck. She feels like she wasted her entire youth to commute back and forth for her job, she’s desperate to find love.
Son Seok Gu will play the role of Mr. Gu, the charming and mysterious outsider. His arrival stirs a lot of questions since the town is considered so boring that no one would ever want to move in. He’s always drunk and has lost his way in life until one day Yum Min Jung approaches him.
The actors of the upcoming drama have previously worked together on various projects. Kim Ji Won and Lee Min Ki previously starred together in the 2018 film “Detective K: Secret of the Living Dead,” while Son Seok Gu and Lee El played a married couple in the 2018 drama “Matrimonial Chaos.”
“Will This Be My Liberation” will premiere in 2022.

Well is this interesting… I didn’t expect that Kim Ji Won would be paired with Son Seok Gu but I’m not going to complain.
The idea behind the drama seems so interesting and I can’t wait to see how it pans out. The combination of the actors is already amazing and every single one of them always give 110% when they’re starting in a drama.
This seems to be a bit different than what I’m used to, because usually the two hottest actor in each kdrama are paired together but it looks like it’s going to be taking a different route from the traditional kdrama experience.
Son Seok Gu is so charming and criminally underrated, I am glad that he will be paired with Kim Ji Won, I hope he’s able to gain even more fans in the future due to this project.
I can’t wait to see it in 2022.
