BTS “Butter” is the number one song on the Billboard hot 100 for the 7th week in a row!
On July 12 local time, Billboard announced that “Butter” had topped the Hot 100 chart for the seventh straight week in a row.
Again, “Butter” extends its record as the longest-running No. 1 hit on the Hot 100 by any Asian act in history. Added to that, “Butter” is the song with the longest No. 1 streak from its debut on the chart by any group apart from Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s “One Sweet Day” in 1995.
“Butter” dominated the top-selling song of the week and also topped the Digital Song Sales chart for the seventh week. It placed No. 21 on the Radio Songs chart and No. 26 on the Streaming Songs chart. The song garnered 29.1 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 6 percent from last week) and 10.8 million U.S. streams, and sold 108,800 for the week ending on July 8.
Fans are trending multiple hashtags to celebrate the happy news including #Butter7thNo1OnHot100 and #BTS_Butter.
Congratulations to BTS!
