TWICE has made history with their most recent comeback!
On June 20 local time, Billboard announced that TWICE’s new mini-album “Taste of Love” had debuted at No. 6 on its famous Top 200 Albums chart. This is huge news and for a couple of reasons. It marks the first time TWICE has entered the top 10 of the chart that ranks the weekly most popular albums in the U.S. Added to that, “Taste of Love” has now become the first mini-album by any female K-pop act in history to reach the top 10 on the chart.
They’re also the second female kpop act to chart on the top 10 following BLACKPINK who did so with their first full-length album “THE ALBUM,” which achieved the feat last year.
According to MRC Data (formerly Nielsen Music), “Taste of Love” earned a total of 46,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on June 17. The album’s total score consisted of 43,000 traditional album sales and 3,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units—which translates to 5.09 million on-demand audio streams over the course of the week.
Congratulations to TWICE on their historic achievement!
