MAMAMOO Wheein Reportedly Leaving RBW After Her Contract Expired, RBW Says Discussions Are Still Ongoing

MAMAMOO Wheei has reportedly decided to part ways with RBW!

On June 9, Sports Kyunghyang reported that Wheein had decided to part ways with her agency RBW after her the expiration of her contract. According to the report, Wheein will still be able to promote with MAMAMOO through mutual discussions with the label.

Since 2021 is MAMAMOO’s 7th year anniversary, contract renewals are up, the rest of the group members have already renewed their contract with RBW with the exception of Wheein who was still in talks. The group debuted in June of 2014 and this means their official first contracts are set to expire this month.

Solar and Moonbyul renewed their contracts with RBW in January, and Hwasa renewed hers in March.

In response to the report, RBW stated,

“No decision has been made regarding WheeIn’s renewal contract, and it is currently under final discussion.

We will inform you officially as soon as a decision is made.”

MAMAMOO had recently made a comeback with their 11th mini album “WAW.”
