Prosecution Demands 4 Years In Prison And A Fine For Former BTOB Member Ilhoon

Former BTOB Member Ilhoon has had his final hearing on May 20 at Seoul Central District Court.

He was charged for purchasing and using marijuana across 161 instances between July 5, 2016 and January 9, 2019. During today’s trial, the prosecutors demanded four years in prison and 133 million won (approximately $117,400) in fines

Through his final testimony, Ilhoon stated that he apologizes for disappointing the many fans who believed in him and he’s been reflecting. His lawyer stated that he’s ‘bitterly regretting it,’ and because he’s suffered a great deal of stress while promoting as an idol from a young age, he tried to relieve stress the wrong way.

Ilhoon withdrew from BTOB last December and is currently completing his mandatory military service as a public service worker.

Ilhoon’s sentence will be announced on June 10.
