Looks like we’ll have to wait more for an announcement regarding a 2NE1 comeback!
Earlier today, Korean news outlet Sports Kyunghyang reported that 2NE1 members have finished recording a song together. The source alleged that the members had gotten together at the beginning of the year and recorded a song.
The members of 2NE1 have long expressed their hopes of a reunion, fans have always loved the idea since the group disbanded during their prime. Park Bom had also recently let slip that 2NE1 worked on a song together but was uncertain if it’d ever be released.
Unfortunately, CL’s side responded to the reports and stated that its not true that 2NE1 has recorded a song together and explained that the members did gather at CL’s studio at the start of the year but it was to celebrate Minzy’s birthday and it appears that this is how a misunderstanding occurred.
And while there are no plans for a 2NE1 reunion song, the rep asked fans to look forward to CL’s upcoming solo album. A source from Park Bom’s agency D-NATION Entertainment also told news outlets that nothing has been decided yet.
