Lee Ji Ah is back in The “Penthouse 2”!

After Shim Su Ryeon (Lee Ji Ah) sudden tragic death in the first season of the “Penthouse,” there has been questions about whether the actress would return for the second season of the drama. SBS hasn’t responded to fans request for a comment but many had suspected that Shim Su Ryeon isn’t dead and will reappear in the second season one way or another.

There were speculations that she could’ve either faked her death or has a twin sister. The camera had previously zoomed in on a woman who has a distinguishable butterfly tattoo in her back and some fans have been guessing that it’s her.

Others think she will instead playing a new character, Na Ae Gyo, the mysterious birth mother of twins Joo Seok Kyung (Han Ji Hyun) and Joo Seok Hoon (Kim Young Dae).

At the last scene of “Penthouse 2” episode 6, Lee Ji Ah’s character enters into Joo Dan Te’s lavish penthouse apartment alone, she is found by him, she turns around to dramatically reveal her face, he asks, “Shim Soo Ryeon?”

The character then walks up to Joo Dan Te and passionately kissed him. He pushes her away in shock and horror, she then smiles and replies with, “Have you been doing well? It’s been a long time, Joo Dan Te.”

Fans are running wild with theories about the identity of Lee Ji Ah’s new character in the new season of Penthouse, is Shim Soo Ryeon alive? does Shim Soo Ryeon have a twin sister? or is the new character she’ll play entirely unrelated to Shim Soo Ryeon?
