KBS has been under heavy fire for calling the rising girl group Brave Girls ‘ahjummas’ which translates to (middle-aged woman or old lady).

KBS recently interviewed the girl group and asked them if they think of themselves that they’re ahjummas because they’re in their 30s, many k-netizens found the question to be extremely rude and uncalled for.

The video that garnered immense backlash was uploaded to KBS’s YouTube channel and was a behind-the-scenes video from when Brave Girls appeared on ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook‘ on March 19th. The girls sat down to answer some questions sent by fans, but one question irked fans. The question was whether they felt like middle-aged women because they were 30.

Due to the immense backlash, KBS re-edited the video and uploaded it with an apology at the beginning of it, they explained they had randomly selected questions and didn’t look over them carefully adding, ‘We apologize for the inconvenience. We truly apologize for causing viewers discomfort with the content that should entertain them.”

The re-edited video doesn’t include the controversial question anymore, you can check it out down below!
