BLACKPINK’s Rosé is setting new records ahead of her album release!

On March 9, YG Entertainment revealed that Rosé’s upcoming solo single album “R” had surpassed 400,000 copies in stock pre-orders as of March 8. This means it was able to reach this milestone in four days since pre-orders for the album began on March 4.

And by this, Rosé has set a new record for the highest number of stock pre-orders achieved by a female soloist in Korea. This feat is a sum of all the pre-orders from other regions including China, Southeast Asia, United States, Japan, and Europe.

Previously, BLACKPINK’s first full album “THE ALBUM” had broken the K-pop girl group record for stock pre-orders as well, reaching almost 1 million copies.

“R” will be released on March 12 at 2 p.m. KST., while the physical album will be released on March 16.

Congratulations, Rosé!
