The situation around APRIL’s Naeun continues to worsen.
Despite DSP Media calling the bullying allegations made against APRIL unfounded, their most recent response and the former member brother rebuttal continue to haunt them. As a result, Naeun, the most popular member of her group, is already taking a hit due to the allegations.
Dongsuh Foods has already decided to halt all advertisements featuring APRIL Member Naeun. While many brands have either disabled comments on videos/photos featuring APRIL Naeun or deleted them altogether.
Naeun was a beloved idol with a bright refreshing image and was modeling for many brands. Netizens have compiled a list of the brands she sponsors and have been threatening boycott.
It was also revealed that her appearance on the next episode of SBS’s variety show “Delicious Rendezvous” would be edited out. A source from the program told news outlets that her parts will be edited out as much as possible without affecting the content. The episode will air on March 4.
Added to that, a source from the upcoming drama “Taxi Driver” told Daily Sports in a statement that she will be excluded from filming for the promotional video of her upcoming drama.
Naeun has been active as an idol and an actress, she is one of the main lead actors in the highly anticipated upcoming drama. “Taxi Driver” has decided to cancel the promotional video filming scheduled on the 2nd of March and will instead be held on March 5th featuring only the main two actors Lee Je Hoon and Esom.
This also puts “Taxi Driver” at a difficult position since the drama has been filming for a while now, it has not been revealed whether Nauen’s character in the drama will appear or not following the allegations.
The issue began on February 28, when an individual claiming to be former APRIL member Hyunjoo’s younger brother made a post claiming she was bullied by her group members. Naeun herself has also been involved in various controversies following that as well, and despite DSP’s statement promising strict legal action against the Hyunjoo, her younger brother and their family, netizens reactions to the statement remain negative.
