It’s been reported that discussions are taking place regarding the potential extension of IZ*ONE’s contracts.

On January 12, a Korean news outlet reported that CJ ENM has met with some agencies of the members to discuss potential contract renewals, however, they haven’t spoken yet to all of the agencies, and some of the members have reportedly expressed their decision to remain part of IZ*ONE.

According to a source, IZ*ONE’s contract publicly ends on in April of 2021, but the companies have internally agreed to only promote until December 31, 2020. The source cited that in consideration of the produce series controversy and the fact that their dorm contract ended in 2020, this decision was made internally.

In response to the reports, a source from IZ*ONE’s agency stated to Herald POP,

“We’re currently collecting opinions of the artists and their agencies regarding IZ*ONE’s future activities.

We will continue the promotions as planned until April, and will continue to listen to their opinions [artists and agencies]. If there are any changes, we will let you know.”

IZ*ONE is temporary group that debuted through the Mnet survival show “Produce 48.” They agreed to promote for two and a half years which means their disbandment is set to happen in April of 2021.

What do you think of this?
