Jellyfish Entertainment has announced that gugudan will end their activities tomorrow (on December 31st) and will disband!
On December 30, Jellyfish Entertainment shocked fans with an official announcement to gugudan’s fan café. In their statement, they explained that after in-depth discussions with the group members, they’ve agreed on disbanding, they will end their activities as a group on December 31st and disband.
Despite disbanding, Jellyfish Entertainment stated that they will provide full support for the members’ individual activities in the future.
“Hello, this is Jellyfish Entertainment.
First of all, we’d like to thank all of the fans who have loved and supported Gugudan so far.
We’d like to make an official announcement regarding gugudan’s future activities. The group that has been working hard and receiving lots of love since its debut will end its official group activities on December 31.
Our company and the members have agreed to end their official group activities after lengthy and in-depth discussions.
Although the group activities will be ending, we will do our best to provide full support to the members individual activities in music and acting.
Thank you once again for the great support and we sincerely apologize for delivering such sudden news to the fans who love gugudan.”
gugudan consists of 8 members: Hana, Mimi, Haebin, Nayoung, Sejeong, Sally, Soyee and Mina. They debuted on June 28, 2016, under Jellyfish Entertainment. Two of the members used to part of I.O.I.
Fans are extremely shocked after reading the sudden announcement.
