EVERGLOW’s agency has revealed that two of the group’s members have tested positive for COVID-19.

In an official statement released to their official social media account on December 1, Yuehua entertainment announced that Yiren and Sihyeon tested positive for COVID-19. Here is why:

Yiren received a notice that an acquaintance of her had contracted the virus, she went to get tested and as a result, her positive diagnosis was confirmed on December 1.

Additionally, member Sihyeon contracted it from her, the members of the group all live together and thus, they’ve all been tested.

The rest of the members’ test results came out negative. The staff will either be getting tested or currently are awaiting test results.

The company is currently mapping out the members and staff schedules [contract tracing] to identify anyone who’s come in close contact with the group members, so they could get tested.

The agency announced that the members and the staff who tested negative will be self-quarantining for two weeks. While Yiren and Sihyeon will follow the guidelines of the authorities after testing positive.

Yuehua entertainment assured they will be following government guidelines to prevent further spread of the virus and apologized for causing concern.

EVERGLOW had filmed for Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook on November 24, as a result, the guest of that episode will all be getting tested too.

Stay tuned for updates.
