BTS “BE” is a massive success!
On November 29 local time, Billboard officially announced that BTS’s new album “BE” had debuted at No. 1 on the Top 200 Albums chart, the weekly chart that ranks the most popular albums in the United States.
According to Billboard, “BE” earned an impressive 242,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on November 26. The total score consisted of 177,000 traditional album sales, 35,000 track equivalent album (TEA) units, and 30,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units—which translates to 48.56 million on-demand audio streams in the album’s first week.
With this, BTS has become the first group to land two different albums at the top of the 200 Albums chart in 2020 and only the second artist overall (following American rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again).
Added to that, this is BTS’s fifth album to achieve this title, thus becoming the first group to top the Billboard 200 with five consecutive albums so quickly since The Beatle.
Congratulations to BTS!
