Former Stray Kids Member Woojin has been accused of sexually harassing women earlier today on twitter.

One twitter account accused him of trying to pick up women at a bar and when they refused his advances, he got aggressive and began groping at least two women. Shortly after the rumors circulated around, his name began trending on twitter. Soon, other idols names were also getting mentioned.

This led to many fans speculating about the reason behind his departure from Stray Kids. JYP previously explained that Woojin has departed for ‘personal reasons,’ the agency never clarified the reason why. Fans kept speculating about what could’ve led to his departure because the news was so sudden, he didn’t have any health issues and there were no known problems to fans.

After his name began trending, Woojin took to twitter to clarify the rumors.

In a statement, he told fans,

“Hello. This is Kim Woojin.

I’ve been through a lot today… I am letting fans know what’s going on by posting this,”

This was followed by two pictures of his statement,

“Someone has posted a strange rumor on twitter and then deleted their account.

I have never met such a person and I’ve never been to where they said I was.

I know my fans must’ve felt flustered by the issue, but it’s not true so don’t worry too much.”

In his statement, he then explains that he found an agency and is preparing for his solo promotions,

“Also, recently, I’ve found an agency that I like. I am preparing hard for my solo promotions.

My agency will take legal action against the spread of false rumors and any response after this will be taken care of by my label, so please don’t worry too much.”
